Hi guys i was on 20mb virgin media broadband, now as far as i know virgin media were doubling the speed from 20mb to 40mb or 50mb, now ive checked my area and it says we have been done' i just done a speed test and here is the results download speed 5.87 upload speed 1.77 now i cant make out if im still on 20mb or not by the speed tests, anyone make sense out of it thanks guys

Are those figures in MB or mb? If they're MB then you're on 50mbish I'd say. Look at the table oasked linked if you're still not sure.
20Mb suggests that you're on ADSL. As far as I know, the speed doubling only applied to fibre customers, so not ADSL broadband. Personally, I was on 30Mb fibre broadband (2nd lowest package) and when the doubling came in, I dropped down to the lowest package, i.e. 30Mb (from 60Mb). Result:
Actually 20Mb is a legacy package on Virgin Media cable along with the 10Mb package. You should be increased to 50Mb from 20Mb but if you call Virgin Media sales they should offer you 60Mb with a free Superhub & installation. I was on the 10Mb and I called them when I didn't get my speed doubled. I ended up with 30Mb & Superhub for no extra cost.
1Mb, small b is essential. Know what you mean though, , we're still on 2.5Mb. But we're being upgraded to fibre in a few days so should have 38Mb, . I can't wait,
