Overclocking Am new t overclocking???

    hi guys.
    I havn't done any overclocking before as this is my first time.
    I just wanted to know any major Do's and Dont's, and what to expect from voltage freq. and temp etc...

    I'm running:
    AMD Athlon 64 2X 4000+ Standard at 2.11GHz
    3.5 GB DDR2 Ram

    Am mostly intrested in CPU But i will be verry greatfull for any help/tips.

    What frequency is your RAM running at?

    Get CPU-Z if you don't already have it.

    Big don't Don't just add 150Mhz to the ram speed lol

    i have cpuz and ram is @ 263.7 Mhz
    do ou have to increece voltage ??

    I'm no overclocker myself either, but if I needed advice on the subject... the first thing I'd do, is search the forums, +/or Google for overclocking guides/articles :idea:

    A subsequent forums search (of this very forum section no less) turned up: Overclocking Guides, Software, C2D info, Useful Threads.
    And what do you know. The very first link on that page, is this: Must have programs and links for overclockers


    If you [still] need more information... you'll undoubtedly find this "Overclocking Guide" useful :clap:
