Any news on a release date for the Gigabyte AM3+ v3.1 motherboard revisions or the ASUS M5Axx series please.
They won't be listed until AMD officially announces them during Computex. CCL like other retailers and manufacturers will be held under NDA until then.
Newegg in the USA are showing three as in stock. ASUS M5A78L-M LX AM3+ AMD 760G GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-USB3 AM3+ ASRock 890FX DELUXE5 AM3+ AMD 890FX
The ones that have grabbed my attention are the new chip set boards meaning true SLI and no more dirty hacks.
Is it confirmed that NVidia SLi will be supported by the 9xx chipsets? I was hoping to get a black socket m/b for a spare Phenom x2 555 which unlocks to x4 fine and maybe upgrade to bulldozer later.
Yes it is confirmed glendronach. Of course only the ones which will get the licence, which means the middle to high price boards, same as with Intel. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/mainbo...xt_Generation_AMD_FX_Bulldozer_Platforms.html
Thanks for the link. I've used 770 and 870 boards which are generally reasonably priced so fingers crossed the 970 will be similar. Two 16x slots would be good.
