    What's this like compared to Everquest (which I've been playing for ages).. I get faffed off by the soloing restrictions in EQ and had been told that it was much better in this..

    I did the beta for AO, shame the developers decided to ignore everyones bug reports ;)

    Back then it was unplayable and apparently the release version was the same, you know all the nasty bugs like falling through floors your banked stuff disserpering and not being able to complete some missions and not even being to log on half the time and the 2fps you get when you enter the city :)

    But hay they might have made it playable now :)

    falling through floors: never found
    banked stuff disappearing: never happened
    not being able to complete missions: happened twice out of 15 or so :(
    2fps in cities: on my 1.4ghz/geforce2mx @ 1024x768 it's pretty jerky sometimes when you enter an area with lots of people, but it stops when everything is loaded into RAM...

    My beta used to crash before it had chance to load it in to memory ;)

    They do seem to have fixed a majority of nasty bugs by the sounds of it. If that is the case it would be a good game :)

    i'm up to lvl 12 now. i upped 4 lvls in one 6 hour period! my eyes were bleeding!

    AO can be so frustrating
    i just got a mission while in newland which was in a swamp about a million miles away from anywhere. i got there, and couldn't get into the dungeon because there was an error, i think they are patching it right now. then i decided to attack a lizard.

    i killed it, but before it died it attacked me and i died too.

    CRAP

    so frustrating

    but i love it and i want to be lvl 100
