So I've got a weird display artefact going on inside my Dell U2713HM display. It's on the centre line, upper third - so in a very annoying place. It started off a minute ago looking just like a small live spider walking between the TFT panel and the backlight. But after the display was on for a few seconds it changed to looking more like a dead spider. Weird eh? I've turned the display off to see if the bug will quite literally go away, but I'm not that hopeful. If I can't resurrect the damn thing I'm going to try shaking the bugger loose (with a suction cup to make more room between layers) or dismantle the display. Software bugs can be annoying but they're nothing compared to bugs in your hardware.
