I have been looking for a case for my new build Things I wanted from the case Fan in top/roof of case Plenty of options for additional fans Bottom mounted PSU Windowed side panel Ability to hide cables and wires This seems to meet most of my needs just not sure if its cable friendly but I can work with that http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15900 Please let me know of any better options Thanks Nigel
Cooler Master CM690 suits ALL of your needs. Just buy the windowed side panel. The Antec, meets all your requirements apart from the cable management, which, it sucks completely, and is one of the worst cases I have used for that.
I have one of those Antec 900s for one of my computers. Its a great case for cooling, has lots of room, and looks good. The cable management in it is non existant, but there is an easy fix. Just get a little electrical tape and run the wires along the joints in the edge of the frame. The way they fold the metal in it leaves a little nook that you can hide wires in if you try.
We went to i33 yesterday and there were tons and ton of 900s - so many I lost count. The best one I saw had white LED fans and silver bits inside - it looked completely pimp But like Lamboman said - the 690 is a good competitor
Thanks Dont know how I missed that case (690) it looks perfect I like the option of the 80mm fan blowing through onto MB from the back Its also half the price of the 900 Only negative I cant find a windowed side panel in stock Cheers again Nigel
The 690 is an awesome case, cool (temps) as anything comes with 3 dam near silent 120mm fans and imo looks great, my only problem with it is that although the side window looks brilliant, its probably harder to get hold of than the Duorb.
the only problem with my antec 900 is that the connectors for the usb ports and the firewire had to run all the way from the top to the bottom and it was one very tight fit. also long video cards are a tight fit as well and the internal fan mount had to be removed. no big deal though, I cant see anyone needing to use that one. other than that, I love it.
