I've recently got into homebrewing as feeding the missus' wine habit was costing me a small fortune and whilst I was there, figured I'd try my hand at homebrew ale too. Both the wine and beer kits I bought turned out really well.

The beer worked out £25 for 40 pints and the wine £35 for 24 bottles. Significantly cheaper than the supermarket! OK, the beer wasn't as good as a cask ale, but it wasn't that far off and I dare say I'll get better as time goes on.. but the wine.. wow! Friends and family were just given a glass without telling them it was homebrew and they all asked where I'd bought it from!

I'm kind of stuck with this wine kit for now as everyone is raving about it but wanted to see if anyone recommended a particular beer kit?

The kit I brewed was: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Homebrew-Wi...d=1383772849&sr=8-1&keywords=landlords+finest

I've got my eye on a few others as I'm down to my last 10 pints so would love some advice if there's any to be given!

    Cheers!

EDIT: If anyone is interested, the wine kit that was so revered is this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Brew-W...d=1383772925&sr=8-2&keywords=cantina+wine+kit
