    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone had heard anything about any impending price drops for the AMD cards now the Nvidia cards are out?

    Cheers

It already happened - it was a pretty minor £20 here, £30 here affair, sorry!

What about the older stocks? Like 6850. I don't seem to notice much of a price drop at all so far

Well, it was essentially only the 7970 and 7950 that were reduced. I think it's fair to say this was because of the direct competition of the 680.

Once the other 6 series Nvidia cards are released, then I think we'll still see cuts across the board from the red team.

Well you won't have to put it in too deep, I reckon you should pay more than £25-£30 for a 4850 nowadays
