Nextbase Duo dashcam, looking for the usb charge / data cable which is available from Nextbase for £15, but was hoping to just find something for much less than that.

Anyway, it appears to be something not easily available in between a mini and micro usb to prevent you plugging the wrong thing in the wrong socket.

The cable and corresponding DC In socket look proprietary to me.

The GPS socket looks like USB Mini B though.

Agreed with the above. Perhaps a model of the device would yield better results...?

Is it this? In the Q&A's one of the answers is that "I’d does fit and charge my Nextbase Duo HD".

    Cheaper - shorter version.

And an even cheaper and shorter version (1M).

The "DC IN" isn't Mini B.

Quick look around and it seems propriety to me, and not easily available elsewhere. It actually seems like it might even be exclusive to that model or similar, rather than commonly used across Nextbase dashcams. Might have to bite the bullet and get it from Nextbase.

Thanks guys, only just got it off ebay, Yeah the Duo and Duo HD are different connector I have learned. I have the older Duo with this likely propriety connector on it. I asked here in case in was being dumb and missing something obvious.

I cant get the footage to my laptop as my card reader in it is fussy and wont see the micro sd in an adaptor, and it came without the USB cable that would let me hook the dashcam to my laptop for charging and data.

So i either buy a suitable cable (which i wont at £15) or get a usb card reader which at the moment looks a better option. or i might just return it as seller didnt mention the onboard battery is toast and lasts 30 seconds and that requires a slightly risky stripdown to replace it.

If your battery is U/S, send the thing back!

Yeah it was comparatively cheap on a buy it now, sold as full working order, so going to open a dispute and see what happens.

Nextbase suggest charging the cam in house on the usb lead (which i dont have) for 4 hours, cant see how that is different from me leaving it charging in the car for 4 hours last night while switched off (my cig socket is always powered even when car is locked).

I've asked nextbase for tech instructions for opening it for a battery replacement so will see what that looks like and will take a partial refund and take the risk if it seems viable.

My 1st dashcam LOL... will get another if this goes back.
