i have been researching on G5s an i found this. Can someone tell me how to resize it so all stuff will fit Or to get these pics in to EAGLE? I think you can see the difference between the clock PCB pic and real one On the diagram the clock PCB is bigger then the led PCB !
First you need to look at the easiest part used on the PCB to get measurements for. In this case it's the SC8560 digital clock IC. It's 25,6 mm x 10 mm. You can look it up here. If you got that, you can go on and resize the image to match the size of it. Next you need some fix-points, to matchup the two different sized PCBs. Therefore we take the 3 holes that are used to fix the two PCBs to each other (marked red in the drawing!) And voilá, you got your measurements for the PCBs. I didn't measure it 100%, its just a very quick and dirty thing I did in Photoshop there, but the way to get it done should be clear.
Thanks jrs77!!! I've got another question How do you do a mirror reflection? I want to use toner transfer to make those PCBs.
Thank you for finding this. For the last elebenty years I have been working on my G5 cube. This circuit fits well with the cubes design goal of clock radio and wake me upper. john +rep for the find PS to eveyone: Yes I still have it and no it's not done.
It's a kit you can purchase. Link in the first post. If you look at the pictures you'll figure out the parts used tho.
