Hi, I've been looking this forums for a long time and now it's my time ^^
I have a Cooler Master Centurion 5, and I decided to do it something. I saw some engraved cases and a few weeks ago I found a picture that inspired me. The engrave it's almost done, it's my first worl of this kind. Made with dremel obiously.
Tomorrow I'll finish it and I'll add more pics. What do you think?

Very nice! How much time did you work on this? I once did a much simpler logo on plexi glass and it took me about two hours.

Well, I think he just used a regular bit to do the "first part" of the job and the he used some grinding bits of a kind.

BTW, great work! I'v never tryed to engrave on bare metal, only on acryl of different kinds. Do you know if metal is harder to engrave on than acryl?

I'm gonna gry ut soon on a friends case, and if you got any good tips I vould love to hear them :)

Thank to all. Let's answer your questions.
To Solaris and Kumo: First step is print the draw and fix it to the side panel, then I used 105 (in Spain is that number, you can find it at Dremel's site) to do the outlines. When I finished doing that I removed the draw and started to fill with the same bit.
Tomorrow I'll fill it well, but as I said it's almost done. I've been working on this today, about 4 or 5 hours I think
To Klikka_bZerk: I preffer engraving on metal than acrylic, because if you push hard you won't damage the piece. The difference it's that you must work at low speeds and hold the tool well or it would slip, and it's difficult to repair damages.

Well, I've done a little bit more.

I'm only going to engrave another desing to the side panels, in the bottom I'll "write" phrases from the Apocalypse with the font used in Diablo game. One in each pannel (left and right respectively):

et vidi angelum descendentem de caelo habentem clavem abyssi et catenam magnam in manu sua
et adprehendit draconem serpentem antiquum qui est diabolus et Satanas et ligavit eum per annos mille

In the front I'll use the same mesh of the case to create a cover for the optical drive, but it's only the first thing. Any idea/question/opinion will be wellcome :p

    You can bet it :)

I love the characters. Very acurately.

A question about engraving. The exposed surface, doesn't get rust with the time?
