    Hi
I recently got this this motherboard to go with my i7 920.

The problem is when i try to boot the light stays on by the memory.

I have tried different slots, clear cmos ect.

My feeling is that the memory is dead as i was given it and they wasn't sure if it worked.

Has anybody else got any ideas.

Until I tried different memory I'd hold off assuming the board is dead.. especially if the person who gave the memory to you isn't sure if it works or not. Do you not know anyone with a spare stick of DDR3?

Have you wired up a speaker to the board? Are there no POST beep codes?

    Hi
I tried it without the memory and it beeps to say there is no memory.
Which makes me think its the memory which is broken as if you put it back in the light comes on.
I think it is time to get some new memory.

Try each stick 1 at a time till you get it to boot the. 2 sticks probably not all are broken
