Why on earth would anyone buy a pentium 4? A 2.0 ghz P4 costs more than my Mobo and XP cost combined

I upped the FSB on my mobo to 145mhz and look at the difference in performance!

And cranking the FSB also boosts the mem performance - a little more and I should be close to RDRAM levels of speed!

All this with an idle temp of 32c, and a load temp which I have yet to see rise above 36c, even after benchmarking/gaming/encoding divx`s!!!

In case you can`t tell: I am one very happy chappie :D :D :D

    I salute you AMD!

And people question that you cannot up the FSB on a Soyo Dragon+. While that may not be a gigantic increase, it is still significant! Well done Scooby, Nice job!

People buy P4s becasue most people in society have been influenced by the Evil cult calling themselves 'Intel' - have been teaching these poor people that AMD are evil (whereas it is the exact oposite)

May the force be with you...

I haven`t managed to crank it that high..... yet :p - although I did swop the delta screamer for a Panaflo H1A - slightly less deafening!
