while browsing for reviews on this new cpu AMD have released i noticed this: http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/cpu/article.php/3261_1363691__2 CHEK THE TABLE all rights and blah blah to em, them made it etc... anyway, check it out - notice this xp 1700 xp 1800 xp 1900 - all at 1.5V ----------------- xp 2000 xp 2100 - all at 1.6V ----------------- xp 2200 - at 1.65V ----------------- now judging these results, it obvious to me that all AMD are doing is clocking ther chips, now i hear you say. "yeh all companies do this" - i know. the INTERESTING BIT. is the volts they have used for each cpu speed. i reccon it will follow like this. ----------------- xp 2300 - 1.7V ??? xp 2400 - 1.75/1.8V ??? - but remember folts, this aint no .18 cpu. these are .13 more than 1.8 V's and yer pushin it with normal cooling. so my advise, dont buy the 2200. if you want to have some fun, i recon - and it'll be interesting to see if im right. The xp 1700 (the new one) will do xp 2400 speeds at 1.8V's ish. Jono
