Automatically connect to Wireless connection!

    Everytime I boot up my Xubuntu pc i have to click wireless connection and then enter a password then it will connect is there anyway i can set it up so it automatically connects everytime the pc starts up.

    Mine does it automatically on ubuntu, just detects a network I've logged onto before and then uses it. 7.10 though.

    Yeah I'm using the 7.10 version of Xubuntu, just seems not to work. Xubuntu is a slimed down version of Ubuntu and theres a lot of features taking out. I've only been using Xubuntu for two days though and I'm quite new to Linux so its very hard for me to navigate through the menu's and apps.

    Xubuntu isn't a slimmed down version of Ubuntu with less features, Xubuntu is Ubuntu with a different window manager (XFCE instead of Metacity/gnome)

    You can allways install (through Synaptic) a wireless manager

    QFT, Wicd isn't so reliant on underlying GTK/Gnome as the Network-Manager Applet. On my gnome laptop i used wicd
