    Hi all

Been in the "think tank" for quite some while. Ripped my old b-ox apart and started anew, improving on the parts I felt was not optimal (quite much actually..). Unfortunately I had to slap it toghether quite quickly as I got a review to write on the Abit 5900 OTES graphics card. So the b-ox is far from finished.
Anyhow here are some pics of it. What do you think?

To mention the parts which is not done:
    - insert a box painted in the same silver as the PSU to hide the cables not used.
    - Cable sleeving the ATX power cables which are visible.
    - Find a place for the Logitech keyboard and mouse receiver within the b-ox.
    - make the backplates for the MB tray in plexi
    - make a backplate for the drive tray in plexi
    - make the front face plate in plexi with cd-rom cutouts.
    - make the final outer backplate covering all of the back in plexi, possibly tint it with sun shade sheet(used in cars).
    - make a place for the power/reset buttons (fron plate?)
    - painting or making plexi faceplates for the cd-drives.
    - plexi mounting for a lcd status monitor (orbital, placed where?)
    - place the expansion unit for the usb ports somewhere.
    - decide where to place the CCT's
    - covering the remaining cd-rom drive in alu sheet?

    The design:
The cage itself is made of alu profiles with plastic chrome corners
holding it toghether. There is 3 "trays" all placed on expansion
rails (for the lack of a better word), making it possible to pull each
tray out of the back of the box. This makes it easy to access the different parts when that is needed. Also each side of the box has no other function than to cover the side, nothing is to be mounted on them. this makes it easy to remove them and if need be, replace them.

The trays....3 of those, one for the mb, one for the drives and one for the PSU/water reservoir/pump/radiator and other stuff.
The trays for the drives and mb are in plexi as you can see.
The lowermost tray is in 2mm alu, with the backpart bent up in 90 degrees angle to fasilitate mounting of the PSU and radiator.
All the trays are secured by thumb nuts (wing nuts) so they are easily detached from the rest of the cabinet.

The horizontal aly bar seen in the front is only there to make the
frame more sturdy whilie I work on it. It will be removed and
the wholde front is going to be one single sheet of plexi.

Pics of the old box can be found over at www.odegard.it where I will finish the article on the B-OX if time allows it and maybe write a new one on the B-OX v2

    Over to the pictures then....
