Networks bandwidth problem HELP!

    i'm running adsl and my setup is a wireless/lanB lynksys Router i am currently getting pissed as my bandwidth is crap i turned off my windows firewall and my other firewall my router is maske but i still expreience 4k download speeds, it's like haveing the firewall on i get 4kbps real fast then it pauses then speeds up slows down, i dunno whats up can someone help me? :waah:

    It may just be that it's a crap site your downloading from.

    Also a firewall shouldn't limit/slow down you connection to any degree you would be able to notice.

    Have you tried using a wired connection to your router?

    well i'm am using a wired connection to my router and i dunno whats up.
    my connection goes like this i have first my speedstream modem my router then it goes to my comp.
