Heres the new Batman film. What does everyone reckon? Gonna be a flop? I personally think its gonna be a hit, considering that the last two are absolute crap.

This one is said to be based on the script Batman: The Frightening, featuring The Scarecrow as the lead baddie. The movie initially was to be based on Frank Miller's graphic novel Batman: YO, a film-noir-infused, four-issue story written in 1987 and published by DC Comics that detailed Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman, including the self-doubts and blunders he had to overcome in order to emerge as a full-blown crime fighter.

Thats what Movies.com said. I think Christian Bale is going to be a class Batman! Clooney wa sthe worst by far! :eyebrow:

Casting rumours surrounding Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated Batman film , Batman: Intimidation were this morning proved to be true when Hollywood's bible Variety confirmed that Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman have both signed to the film.

Neeson will be playing the film's baddie, Ra's al Ghul, a wealthy international terrorist, while Freeman will play, and we quote, 'Lucius Fox, a respected businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of billionaire Bruce Wayne's Wayne Enterprises based in Gotham City'.

With Michael Caine, Katie Holmes, Christian Bale and Cillian Murphy already signed and sealed, it looks like Christopher Nolan is assembling quite a cast for his take on Batman.

Thats what empireonline.co.uk said! Its going to be class if they're going back to Batman's roots! I'm not too keen on Michael Caine as the butler though :worried: Cockey butler, bit hard to imagine! lol

What does everyone think? Feedback? I cant wait, even though its gonna be ages! :D

Should be a good movie Chris Nolan is a class director. From what I've read he is taking Batman back to his original dark routes and concentrating more on the story. Since it's being film in Iceland I'm hoping we get some good action on ice.

The original Batman (Keaton) is the best by far! I really liked the first two because of their dark values! I really hope Christopher Nolan can reproduce the epic dark feeling! Cant wait! :D

Yeh i agree, Clooney was too gay! No offence! Anyway it'll be good to see what Christian Bale can give the role, he's certainly played dark charachers in the past, like in American History X and in the Shaft remake.

Some more news on teh Batman front ::

Ken Watanabe, the stand-out samurai leader in Tom Cruise's latest epic, is now lined up for a role in Christopher Nolan's Batman: Intimidation. Alongside the news that Liam Neeson is not playing villain Ra's Al Ghul, it may be that Watanabe will be taking the part. Neeson will apparently be in the film, but will be playing Henri Ducard, mentor to Bruce Wayne. Watch this space for further updates. Article

Some more news to ponder there! Im yet to see the Last Samurai :worried:

Lots of news on the Batman including a possible name change

    From Dark Horizons:
Ths suit sounds mighty impressive. It would be awesome to have the older style suit in a movie instead of the modern ones that have recenty appeared. Good to know that Tommy Lee Jones isn't coming back as Harvey Dent (I thought he sucked as 2 Face).

I think Batman: Begins is certaintly a better title than Intimidation, as it fits better with the story. This is currently shaping up to be a great movie just hoping they don't blow it.

he may well have been the best, however he is a little bit old now :p

i hope this film is as good as the 1st/2nd movies, the thrid was "alright", but i swear, and in full honesty here when i say this! i reckon the fourth, was a power rangers the movie rip off, replacing power rangers with batman, robin, and as many other good superheroes they could throw in until the end of the film (3 until i turned it off in disgust!).

If only play would get the Batman 1/2 double pack in stock!!!

    Pictures here

Must say it looks very different to previous version of the Batmobile interesting looking I'd be interested to see what gadgets they attach to it. :hip:

That batmobile sucks. No.2 was the best by far - truely ghothy style, Michael Keaton and Danny De'vito as the penguin rocked.

I recon Christian Bale will suit the role well imo, even Michael Keaton was a tad "soft" compared to Bale; Batman needs to be a hardnut boardering a little insane (to dress up like that n all).

Who's the playing the bad dude in No.5? And arent they going back all gothy and art deco again?? Like the comics?
