    I am getting bsod with a 124 bccode on the machine in my sig. When installing the cpu in the motherboard i managed to bend a couple of the pins although i straitened them out and it worked fine. I managed to OC the cpu to 4.5ghz and it was stable but then (4-5 months later) it started giving the bsod's with bc 124.
    i turned off the oc and ran memtest (passed) and left the oc off for a week with no bsod's so i decided to re'oc pushing the voltages a bit higher.
    It passes intel burn test on maximum for 20 runs and p95 on small ffts for 12 hrs but it tends to bsod (124) on blend after about 17hrs. It seems odd that it always bsods on blend and doesn't just stop stressing a core when it fails which makes me think that it is not necessarily my OC.
    could something more sinister be at play i.e the bent pins finally giving me grief, as usually if i get a failed core bsod it tends to be a 101 bccode.
    dump files can be found here

    any ideas?? :wallbash::wallbash:

    what voltage you running at or have tried? 124 normally means you need more v or less should try increasing in increments

    oooh thanks for the reply. thought people have forgotten about me.

    initially i was running a Vcore of 1.345v and that seemed stable for about 4 months (no probs although i only ran blend for 12hrs). Then when i started to get these bsods, maybe 1 a week, i pushed the voltage up to 1.355v it passed everything except blend at 17ish hrs. i know that OC's can destabilize over time but 4 months seemed a bit soon.

    At the moment i am running at stock again to see how it goes, will try running a 24h blend burn when i have the spare time at stock to see if there is an issue there.
    I really don't want to hit the 1.4v barrier so if it is the oc i may scale it down a bit, just wondering if it could be anything else.

    once again thanks for the reply.
