never been skiing or snowboarding so i cant say tho it is something i would love to do. Im watching the program too and i must say i would prefer the first holiday to going to Benidorm -it looks too much like any British seaside town and it looks like it would be a waste of money .

TBH, neither appeal to me. My ideal vacation would be renting a log cabin in the mountains next to a cold, smallish lake. An old rowboat with maybe a small outboard motor on it tied up to the dock, no pesky neighbors anywhere. The only sound at night being the small waterfall in the distance feeding the lake and nature all around. No TV, no computer, no internet, no phone, a small radio in the corner of the living room, bonfire outside with a slight chill in the air and marshmallows on the end of a stick to compliment plenty of graham crackers & Hershey bars - an ice cold bottle of beer to cool my hand when I get too close to the fire. Both my kids with me, under the stars talking about distant places and forgetting about the world for as long as we can.

THAT is a perfect vacation for me.

Well, okay, maybe my cell phone for an emergency - but, it would be turned off.

Seriously, remember that episode of Stargate where O'Neil took Teal'c to his cabin where they were fishing? That's exactly what I want..

yeah why i like mountain climbing so much, the isolation from anything else.
i have yet to find a better feeling than sitting above the cloud line watching the world with no one anywhere around and no stress or worries.

Ideal vacation is going skating in sunny weather with a good mate and then drinking JD and coke when you get back to his beach front flat. Wait I did that this year :D

    Favorite two holiday things...

Coldness... and usually snowboarding (reaaally need to go snowboarding...)

Hotness, BUT!!!! only if it's like in NYC and there's tech shopping to be had... otherwise... there's no point in getting all hot and ick.

Beach holidays. Atracts much more females. Plus plenty of bars and bag houses. Can't go wrong.

must say, went on a beach/drinking holiday this year with some of my friends, was the best holiday ive ever been on, but then we did sleep until at least 5pm each day, so didnt really see to much sun, but im not really a holiday person, may seem sad but my ideal holiday is staying at home doing large amounts of f*** all.

My ideal holiday would be spent infront of a new computer bought using holiday funds.

To be serious though, i prefer cold, you kinda have to where I live

Having recently come back from the Local Landlords week long 40th piss up in Magaluf I can't decide.

Lazing on a sofa lilo with a beer holder in warm sea really is enjoyable :D

Anything that involves more activity than lying on a beach. Ski/snowboard for winter, mountain bike for summer would be my first choice. Beach holidays are pointless cos it just turns into a drinking holiday, get too drunk to even notice the nice weather and beaches.
