I have just found it and think it is awesome http://beagleboard.org/ If this is as powerful as they say it is then it could be great tacked onto the back of a TV with a lightweight OS on an SD card streaming videos from a server cum TV recorder somewhere in a cupboard. and it is only $150! Just though I would share it with you, apologies if it is old news.
I've had an itch to make something with sbc for ages but i can never think of any thing to justify the cost. There is also gumstix but i don't think they are as powerful.
