So my plan is to make a display case of sorts to show all of the cards I've owned over the years. I was going to make a nice model using sketchup and so I realized I needed to make 3d models of the actual cards. They didn't have to be very detailed, but I was bored. And my boredom led to these:

The first card I modeled was 3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 AGP.

This was my first attempt at something semi-accurate using sketchup. I had used it prior to make models of my case building plans, but nothing this detailed. Link to model: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=8d84f5e7b69c78f59ca192ec153c4b2d&ct=mdsa

The second card I did was the HD3870 without a HSF.

Heatsinks are a pain in the ass to do. Link to model: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=3199807e041c1b029ca192ec153c4b2d&ct=mdsa

Then I added the reference HSF to my 3870 model.

Heatsinks are a major time consumer; I probably spent 3 hours doing the ramsinks. The clear red plastic fan duct turned out better than I thought it would. Link to model: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=134eb3f1d928698c9ca192ec153c4b2d&ct=mdrm

And here is my most recent creation, the x800pro AGP.

I thought the fan blades turned out rather well. I think I spent 2 hours on them alone. Link to model: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=af922d571919a8569ca192ec153c4b2d&ct=mdsa

Next on my list is the Riva TNT2, then the HD4850, 9700Pro, 9800Pro and x1800xt. Lots of free time is fun.

Really nice work on the GFX. If you could make an HD2900Pro i would be thankful :)

With or without the hsf? The hsf on the hd2900 kind of blocks everything else. And I don't have the card in hand so I can measure everything.

    Those look great!
Would you consider submitting them to the SCC?
