best a64 overclocker

    hey whats the best athlon 64 thats a good overclocker and is relatively cheap. im looking for anything under 300 bucks. supposedly the 3000 and the 3200 are good overclockers?
    and whats the best ram to get?

    the 3200 is suposed to be good. I have an early 3500+ and it goes to 2.6.

    The newer winchesters seem to be doing reasonably well, supposdly the post week 45 (iirc) chips should be a little faster, with the introduction of strained silicon....

    Yep the 3000 and 3200 look good.

    The advantage of the 3200 is not nessicarly that it will reach a higher clock but it gives you alot more flexibility in getting there. You obviously have a higher multiplier avalible which means you can go further with out having to resort to expencive ram or changing ram dividers and all that complication of the hypertransport thingimejig . I belive that lower than stock multipliers are still avalible so you can easly switch it back to a 3000 spec multiplier if needed.
