Hi, everybody. Welcome to the new bit-tech website and forums!

We're sure many of you have questions, comments, concerns, and feedback regarding the new website launch and forum migration, and we have three dedicated, stickied threads now set up to manage these that are being constantly monitored. Please read them before posting so we can avoid repeats and keep things efficient.

This thread is for forum and website usability questions. Given that we are now using an entirely now forum platform (bye bye, crusty old vBulletin!; hello, shiny new XenForo!), certain features you are used to may now be in a different place. If something appears missing, it may not be a bug or something that needs adding, it may just have changed location. For questions related to general forum usability (e.g. 'How do I do X?', 'Why is there no more Y?', and so on), please read and post here first.

Once you receive a reply, if you are still convinced that there is a bug or missing feature, please post in the relevant threads:
    Bugs and errors
    Feedback and requests

We know there is still work to be done, and that's why we're doing this, but please recognise that a lot of work has gone into making this transition happen. Please also keep all discussions civil, constructive, and polite. Let's all work together making bit-tech even better for all of us.

How do I change the text under my name? Can't find the option in the CP.

I can change mine in the admin section but can't find out how to in the normal forum. In the admin settings it was on the same page as the signature changes stuff - I can't see how to change sigs on the main forum either

Under Opera Developer 48.0.2636.0 , Opera Stable 46.0.2597.32 and Edge, the style chooser is not working. Selecting Bit Tech Wide or Narrow makes no difference, the forum remains full width.

I'm 99% sure this is due to an error we made when importing styles from our dev environment. I'll be fixing it in a bit

Is it just me or is there no link to the forums on the bit tech home page?

    No, you are correct.

Tell you what, it's a bit confusing having these three threads because there are a number of posts that could go in any of the three.

still far too much white on screen tho for my tastes, makes tracking threads a little more awkward.

Yeah, I'm trying to adjust but the white is too much for my useless work screens

It might be me being blind, but how do we change the number of posts we see per page? I used to set mine to 100 so I didn't have to keep clicking through pages but can't seem to find the option now.

Ahh ok. Didn't know someone had already mentioned it. And I reckoned to have the threads properly! lol

    Edit:
Found it. Must read all the threads first.

Aside from the almost Apple-Store level whiteness, this is my only gripe! Pages? What're pages?

Neither can I. I is confuse.

But I found out how multi-quote works at least. You just click "reply" on consecutive posts and they all add up in the reply window at the bottom. :)

Finally sorted it - click your username on the top menu (not in the drop-down bit)
