We now have a Dark theme on the bit-tech site!

To enable it all you have to do is click the arrow on the top right of the site and then select the dark theme option.

Let us know what you guys think.

Like it, now fits in with the forum. I find it easier to read on a phone for some reason.

Unlike the forum though, each page seems to initially flash with the white background before switching to the dark.

Minor quibble, not sure it may just be down to using it on the lowly power of my phone.

It's to do with checking your browser storage for the preference. It's quicker on PCs

That's what I thought but i'm now on the laptop and it's doing the same. It never happens on the forum.

I mean i'm not going to cry about it, it's just something I noticed. :waah::waah::waah::waah:

That's the forum, not the site.

even on a new device is still needs to do the check. The forum uses information stored in the profile to prevent the flash. The site uses browser storage so even non logged in users have the ability to save their preferences

it does it for us. It's just a drawback of having it working for everyone although we are working on it. We just wanted it out there. Will be working on trying to perfect it tomorrow.
