So, even though its blade, its kinda worth seeing? Hmm.. I spose i watched one and two at the flicks.
Just got back from the cinema, as always excellent film to turn off your brain, enjoy the fantastic sound track and mindless violence. Glad to see the doggy CGI stuff from Blade 2 didn’t reappear.
If you have enjoyed the Blade filmology up to this point, Trinity is worth taking a peek. If you barely made it through the first and contemplated suicide on the second then you'll definately want to avoid this one.
Well i saw it with my gf, didnt think it was too bad. Perked everytime they showed the ipod and when the FBI guy has his alienware laptop sitting on teh desk mmm, alienware other than that, the fightscenes were kinda funky and the sarcy guy is just awsome "Did you try the lobby" Proph.
As soon as i saw that guy i new there would be some comedy in it, he plays berg in 2 Guys & a Girl ffs From what i saw it looked good, need to watch it properly tho . Death
Its been a while since ive been to a film like that and the whole cinema has laughed at the same time. Its like a comedy with fight scenes at points i swear :/ I reckon the switched writers 1/4 way thru when he gets introduced :/ Proph.
Saw it last night, pretty good film, but im starting to get annoyed with all this advertising in films (the Ipod in this was way to blatant, like the converse allstars in I, Robot) The film seemed a bit more cheesy this time round, and blade only used his 'blade' in the final battle . Also the actors were poor this time round (Triple H and the vampire crew really ruined it) and Mini Whistlers side kick, although he was funny, it wasn't really called for, I mean he was using some of his lines from 2 Guys, a girl and a pizza place in the FILM :O hes a funny actor, but not for this sort of film...also all the politically correct crap in the group, a fat nerd doing the weapons and playing basketball, a BLIND engineer, who seemed to be able to use a braile keyboard to control programs with lots of flashing lights etc, a blind person to be able to be that gooder chemist/engineer etc, although however nice a thought, its just too impossible, or at least to the level of all the flashy lights on the computer that her the 'blind' person was controlling...all that crap where they feel they have to have someone disabled in a 'superhero' group..... - M@
I hate blatant product placements in movies. I thought Biel was going to hold up the Ipod and say "The Ipod, perfect for any holiday gift" Overall it was what I expected. Okay but not better than the 1st or 2nd IMO. The comic relief from King was probably the best thing in this movie but than again thats not why I go to see Blade in the first place. Triple H annoyed me for some reason. To me he just didn't fit as a vampire type. Lastly the thing I liked about Blade was his super human ability to wipe out Vampires so easily. However from this movie you see humans can do it just as easy also so that kinda takes away from his ability to me. Oh well I am just rambling non sense.
I agree on the product placement thing. FFS i do not pay my money to have blatant and quite embarassing ads ruin what was a fairly good movie. Especialy when you know that loads of people will fall for it and buy an ipod instead of the far superior other products (like the iriver series) On another note the script was god awful and the other young guy deserves an oscar for convincing casting director he's funny. If it wasn't for the fact that i liked the soundtrack i would have felt totally disappointed. Spend your money on the Incredibles instead as its much better.
I just watched Blade 3, it was entertaining but I had to come and post about the blatant iPod advertising, was hilarious. 'doc
I saw it when it was released and din't quite like it and the ending was bad. But since I already have 1 & 2 I am going to have to buy it just to hav the 3.
Yes it does. That kind of placement is ok I feel because it's acknowledged so you can consiously choose to ignore their product placement. When moviemakers/advertisers think they are being clever/devious with their placement but still prominent enough to have a subconsious effect - that just sh**s me off. On the movie, I thought Ryan Reynolds was the only tolerable thing about that movie. Jessica was eye candy, sure, but the script was just so lame. I gave up trying to find the glaringly obvious holes in the plot shortlty after it began (maybe I should have focused on trying to find the coherent points - that would have been more of a challenge.) The thing I hated most about the movie was that whole "ray of light" lightsabre/bow looking thing. What an improbable weapon. The thing just was pox with no credibility whatsoever. Yes I understand that this is a movie about vampires and I'm meant to suspend my grounding in reality when I walk in the door. But I thought that their job was to help me believe that this was real. They failed miserably. I felt like gouging my eyes out. None and half stars from me.
It would have been an -okay- film, but the product placements completely and utterly killed any sense of "that was alright" I would have had after the film. How patronising can you get.
