I use 200 for just about everything. And I get great pictures out of it

My father is a camera nut, and he buys 200 for everything, even photo-shoots (he has done a few). I don't think you'll go wrong there

One thing, though. Make sure your lighting is good. Plenty of natural light is just what the doctor ordered

And don't underestimate the power of a little camera. Try some dark shots and see how they come out, you may be suprised (I surely have been).

I have two questions.. I came across one of those neon wire light strings thingys...lol..the type that plug into your cars lighter socket. The lighter plugin part has been smashed to bits.. can I still use this??? If I can, what do I need to do to it to get it working??


I had another thought about the front of the case...use your imagination here ok?

I was wondering how it would look on the lower section, using the same method..it would eliminated the silver bar look..open it up more..it would match the eject buttons and all of the fans are also secured with them...

Yes, I mean remove the two small 'bars' that are on each side of the lower fans. What holds that acrylic on is a small flexible alum rod, the 'bar' isnt really a bar, it's a "C" shaped alum piece that fits over the rod. I'm thinking of getting rid of that and using the push pin method....anyone that wants to try some PS skills again can give it a shot while I'm at work, that's if ya follow what I mean

edit : if you look back on page four theres a few shots of the front bezel, you can see the rod and C shape section...

Oh yea, and I think you should make a 3D rendering of the case so we can see all the little mods in 3D

 

HA, I can barely do a straight line in PAINT, let alone a 3d rendering!!

Most of the kits I have come across in my travels have had the inverter inside the jack that plugs into the lighter socket. In the case that it is beyond repair, you might just need a new inverter. Not all that hard to get ahold of

This is of cource based on my experience and assumptions. If you had pics of the "smashed up bits" I may be able to extrapolate further...

 

Car voltage = 12v
Puter voltage = 12v

If there isn't an inverter or if the inverter isn't damaged you should be able to slap on a molex and hook it up - I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU HURT ANY PARTS, PEOPLE, CASES, OR SMALL FURRY ANIMALS NAMED FLUFFY.

Theres a little black box in the line thats ok...is that the inverter?


Does the plug usually have a fuse or something in it??

EDIT: Altron!! That was it! When I tried it before(long time ago) it didn't light up, must have had the wires wrong! HA! Bliss has UFO lighting now !!

Final pics before hardware change

I have just sent Yo-DUH_87 5 pics of the case. I took it outside to see if I could get better pics in outdoor lighting.

I've posted some of these same types only indoor, but I took a shot of one of the clear feet I used.

I will be changing the hardware over in an hour or so, wish me luck and if all goes well I'll be back on tonight!

I love this case too, keep trying to think of something original to do to mine but end up back here at this thread.

Just a test run.. need to shut down and put the tv tuner in and try the USB ports also....had to check to see I've I'd have any sparks, booms or fires...
