Windows Blizzard announces Official Street Date for WoW

Yeah, I'm beta testing it right now and have been for quite a while.

Basically, I'm not thrilled about the game. It's great and fun to play, but it doesn't hold my attention that well. I'm just one person, though, and most people feel differently. People are obsessing over that game!

I prefer fast-paced games like Diablo II with mathematical depth and branching character trees. WoW is seriously watered down. Every mage is the same at every level. Every warrior is the same at every level. Plus it plays slow. Blizzard thinks people get on a game and say "I'm gonna play through X mission", but really people play as long as their interested, so timesinks really detract from the experience.

But, like I said, I'm just one person here. For veterans of the MMORPG genre, especially those fed up with the obsession, complexity, and drama of EQ2, this could be a huge hit. For the gamer that needs diversity and depth, this isn't the one.
