I'm thinking of buying a high end netbook (if there is such a thing ) in lieu of being able to afford an ultra portable. However, I'd like to be able to at a push use it as a media centre. So I was wondering if an AMD E350 based netbook (specially this one) would be capable of smoothly outputting 1080p blu-ray content to an HDTV via HDMI from an external usb blu-ray drive? Ta.
yes. 1080p is not as difficult as some people think. ION 1 can do it without a problem. you will need something like this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/plex...im-bd-rom-usb2-blu-ray-player-powered-via-usb
Thanks muchly. I kinda figured, but couldn't find many reassuring tests on the web. I actually already have the drive (my trusty old Blu-ray/hd-dvd combo drive ), just need to make an enclosure...
