I'm assuming it's some sort of fanbus or for testing things out on? Looks nice whatever it is.

They look like Mobile Phone SMD LED's to me.

Nice mod though... that'd be pretty cool for a fanbus (except that it doesn't have the sensor wire)

The LEDs and resistors are SMT (Surface Mount Technology) used in your handphones.

That site have some other interesting stuff. Just take some time to surf around

first, get a large capacitor (100V or more at 10,000uf) and fully charge it. Place it near your monitor, being sure to keep all curtains etc. away.

then take half a pint of gasoline (petrol) mixed generously with acetone, and pour it into the monitor.

Then take a long metal rod, and short out the capacitor. The insuing fireball should be plenty bright...
     :thumb:

Not much you can actually do for a bad tube, Cheaper to get a new one than to repair the old.

dude, just a lil tip about that burning idea.

i once threw a brick at a monitor that only 1\2 the screen worked.. the brick was shot out of the monitor because of the vaccume inside the tube. unless you are behind a brick wall, dont mess with a CRT. they are freggin dangerous. ima, FLAMING\searing shrapnal is worse than just normal flying glass. so be a good kid, and drop it of a 2 story building. that way, you can watch it explode. :nono: :D

anyway, does anyone know where i can get a bag of those things? i wanna re-mod my cellphone with them, and maybe some computer stuff too. itd be nice =). thanks.

    PSU power boards

Looking at one of the other posts on that site indecates that their PSUs don't have leads coming out of them, you just get a power board, then you plug in as many molex to molex leads as you need. Is this correct. it's sounds great. You'd only need the number of leads you want, and you could easily swap them with the correct lengths.

    :D :D

He was saying that you can't solder a SMT LED on the molex side. Thus he had to drill a hole for each LED and let the light come in through the hole.
