Sadly I do not live near there. And sadly I do not know what C0/D0 are . And if you saw my "TRIPPLE EDIT" can you answer that or if you did not can you look back ? Thanks Oh and my DOUBLE EDIT if you could answer that EDIT: On Prime95 My Worker #2 got a FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5 , expected less than 0.4 HardWare Failure detected, consult stress.txt file That doesn't sound good :-(
You'll have to turn the whole mounting bracket around to rotate the Megahalems. Sucks, I know, but your temps will drop, I assure you. This is how it should look (came from a Google of "prolimatech megahalems haf 932"): If your fans aren't connected to the motherboard, they should be chugging along at full speed anyway. The C0/D0 thing is based on steppings. The C0 chips are older, and a bit less power efficient. They also don't overclock as far, and have higher stock voltages.
Wow that guys case is the same, basically the same hardware. Weird . I can't tell from the picture, are those fans pointed to the left or right? Also can you read my other edit... it was about a FATAL ERROR :-( EDIT: Worker #7 just failed for the same reason ??? .. the temps aren't even high.. High 60s and low 70s. Is my hardware REALLY failing? If so, I guess this would be a good time for the warranty to come in because I have to switch the heatsinks direction. OMG, has I'm typing this PRIME95 stopped working... maybe I have like a corrupted PRIME95? I don't know. But if you are tired of talking on the forums you can contact me at AIM: Laxguy3334 or MSN: Laxguy3334@hotmail.com
"Hardware failure" just means your settings aren't right. Keep fiddling with your voltages till you get it stable (i.e. no "hardware failures"), that's what overclocking's all about.
Right, we're getting there. Has managed to get through a bit of the Prime95 tests stable, but stopped for heatsink correction. Megahalems is being rotated to exhaust out of the rear (and keep airflow in straight lines, etc) as we speak, CPU fan error message has been disabled, S-Flex airflow direction has been identified, and by hook or by crook, we'll get there. Now where's my beer?
i thought id post this thread with a bunch of our 4ghz settings: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=178125 to the OP: go to 1.3v on the cpu, 1.64v on the RAM and everything will be gravy.
NOOO! Don't put that there! We're taking it in steps. We got a 3.8GHz stable and we're now punching for 4, 1 step at a time.
Well, it's 6:30am. I haven't slept. But, WE DID IT! 4GHz stable, temps of 76. Voltage of 1.2625V (I think - can't remember). Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to lie down. That, my friends, is dedication to the cause. Oh, and I've just had a text from some bird, telling me she's not a cow, but that it's OK to tease me and send me naughty pictures with no intention of dating me, or even ever meeting up with me. Good times. And no, Mankz, they're not "available on request". Goodnight, all! EDIT: GAH - double post! Silly me.
Stable ? After 5 hours ? XD Load a Memory test and Prime95 One Night, after you'll have the right tto said the word Stable. AND !...... What about this Bird? O.O
I stayed up all night doing this, and managed to complete a single run-through of the SmallFFT tests. I know that's not perfect, but it's all I had in me, and I'm a hopeless optimist. We'll hear back if it goes wrong (and the guy's already under strict instruction to increase the voltage one increment at a time). As for the girl, I don't know what the hap is there. It's not sleep-deprived, but I am getting it in the neck on Facebook. Always fun. (Y)
stable? run this and only think about the word "stable" after your CPU survives 25 iterations with 4GB memory usage. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=201670 it's much more system intensive and if your heatsink isn't up to the task, your CPU might burn. you should see around 10 degrees higher temperature than Prime.
