Blue Screen - Win XP not installing

    I just put together this computer and I get a blue screen (see screenshot below) when trying to install WinXP (I boot from the CD and then it says its loading set up files, then blue screen)

    Here are the comp specs:

    Asus P4PE
    Celeron 2.4 GHz
    2x256 DDR RAM
    ATI Radeon 7500
    Maxtor 15GB HD (already formatted and tested with the DOS utility from Maxtor website)

    Something might be wrong with the 15 GB Maxtor hard drive. Double check the cable connection and if you can try using another formatted hard drive to see if the error goes away.

    have you tried a different install cd? preferably a never version? SP1 vs SP2. i ha da problem like this, when using a sp1 cd, i tried a sp2 cd and all went well. i think it has something to do with better hardware support.
