I'm surprised that this show doesn't seem to have been mentioned before. I've been watching it since the beginning and I have to say it has to be the best show on TV right now. Season 4 especially I think is fantastic and I struggling to make it through each week waiting the the next episode. Does anyone else here watch Breaking Bad? What do you think of it?
I watched it on the advice of a friend and season 1 sucks but after you get through that it is a very clever show that holds you like someone trying to describe something that keeps going on and on and they never think to use a period. I like it!
Between this and Walking Dead, AMC I feel are truly the best ticket on television at the moment. Both series have me deeply captivated by their intelligent treatment of the viewing audience and the deep, complex story lines (for television, anyway). Both shows assume the person watching has an attention span of more than a few seconds, and therefore doesn't require a constant barrage of the latest musical "hit", flashing lights, or peep-show, allowing the directors free reign to just make good television. I honestly cannot praise these two series enough, and those that created them. For shows like this I generally let a good few episodes pass me by (five or so), then just sit down and watch them all in one go, just to squeeze as much out of the story line as I can.
I've been loving Breaking Bad since my mate recommended it to me a while ago. I've just started Season 3 this week - I found season 1 quite funny in places but still interesting, and season 2 very dramatic and gripping. Season 3 has started off very gritty and also looks like it will hold my attention the whole way through. All in all it's a fantastic show, not your average run of the mill TV drama story line or characters, and very well made throughout. Highly recommended
Yeh breaking bad rocks, I havent watched the episode from sunday but episode 8 was great. Ive liked all the series so far
Yup 2 year thread resurrection! Breaking bad finale starts on Sunday! Season 5 has been immense so far, mega cliffhanger at the mid-season break! Excited to see how they wrap the whole thing up in the next 8 episodes!
I haven't started watching the 5th Season yet, but if they're finally actually finishing it I'll start it soon probably. It's a weird one, I like very few characters, I dislike a lot of the decision made, but there's still enough there to enjoy it.
I can't wait for the second half of the final season! This, along with a few other shows which are continuing and/or ending in the next 12 months, is one of the shows that grabbed me from the very beginning and I've loved every episode since. Others that I'm looking forward to seeing return to the air: Justified Season 5 24: Live Another Day (Season 9) Game of Thrones Season 4 Sons of Anarchy - Season ? - Fun fact; the word "anarchy" is in the filter list on our anally tight school network as "adult material", but "guns" isn't... It's going to be a good 12-18 months of TV!
Justified is Cheesecake. There is no other way of putting it And my brother had never even heard of it 3 weeks ago. I couldn't believe my ears!
Please spoilerise any plot details for those of us who aren't watching immediately. I'll stay out of the thread, but you never know.
Oh well, it's had a great run. I don't think there's much more than two seasons left in the story lines of the main characters anyway.
Wasn't the main character in Breaking Bad supposed to have a terminal illness? He's got to die sometime.
I can't believe there isn't more buzz on here for Breaking bad!!! Every episode from the second half of series 5 so far has ended on a mega cliff-hanger! The latest episode was absolutely wild! Only 3 episodes to go! As always no spoilers people!
