Saw this on sale at Super-Fi so random impulse buying kicked in :(...

Got it home and set it up (only the one deck..so far) With my CD player

And omg the hilariousness you can have with it...

Mixed Beastie boys ch-check it out with new found glory, muhahaha...so much fun

Anyone else got decks or dabbles in it?

You just need to get another one, a decent mixer, and get a shedload of drum'n'bass vinyl and you're sorted :thumb:

Always wanted some decks myself, the cost of decent direct drive ones ala 1210s or PDX-2000s always put me off. On the other hand, if you learn to mix properly on some cheapo beltdrive gear, you can probably mix on just about anything :). Had a go on my cousins mates technics decks once, with a load of old speed garage and drum'n'bass, was good fun. Drum'n'bass can be a bitch to mix well though, stuff with a 4x4 drum beat is a piece of piss compared to anything breakbeat-ish....

These are direct drive not belt driven balls :p, got a mixer, just a basic two channel with tone/cue/flip, just use my cd player as the 2nd source atm, basically got it just to listen to my vinyls, with the capacity to play around with it if I wanted, was looking at the project debut 3, but if I had that in my room, I just know someone would come in and try and scratch on it :p....
Playing around mainly with hip-hop and just brought some indie/hip hop remixes (killers, beastie boys & basement jaxx)

Dom_ I went to get the project Debut 3, but thought I can have more fun for the moment with this deck, then when/if I get a substantial record collection, I can upgrade to an actual player.

Twas only £100 Will in the Bham superfi sale :) They ordered to many :) so I got lucky, tis very nice been playing with it all day.

Bloody hell, £100 for a direct drive is cheap as, how many did they have left? :eeek: Mind you I'm poorer than a poor thing at the moment, can't really afford it (can't really afford anything at the moment...)

LOL @ the first £100 in the till, doesn't surprise me though....Superfi's customer service for me has always been abysmal, in the (now closed) Wolverhampton store and the Birmingham one. Unless I walk in and practically wave a wad of cash under their noses they pretty much ignore me, even when I ask them questions.

Contrast this to Sevenoaks in Wolverhampton, where they'll happily make me a cup of coffee and let me listen to £12ks worth of Quad valve and electrostatic gear for half an hour in the demo room, even though they know I can't afford it :jawdrop:

The Newcastle SuperFi closed a while back - did they have some troubles?
