    hey guys,

the system in my sig has been causing me issues for the past few days, occasionally it will BSOD while playing video files (ripped DVD avi's generally). Before BSOD I get green lines over the video frame. Today however, it BSODed while playing a DVD from the reader, and is now refusing to boot past the XFX splash screen. It is stuck on CMOS code 52, which is a memtest code....

I'm not really sure what to try when it comes to troubleshooting. I was figuring it was the graphics card tbh, it seems sapphire uses a very thin PCB on their graphics cards (at least compared to my old MSI 8800GTS), and I'm worried it is sagging due to the weight of the cooler. However, that memtest CMOS code seems like it could be the issue....

    any ideas?

Try pulling a few sticks of RAM and booting with just one. Also disconnect the hard drive, no need to screw up your installation with all the restarts!
