    Hello guys,

I was thinking about getting a C# certification /.net Certification, and i looked at Microsoft certification overview - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/Exam.aspx?ID=70-511&Locale=en-us

and some of the requirements is WPF and stuff like that, and i found the book for the course onli.. oh wait never mind..

    i got the book yeah...

and well.. i doesn't really begin from the start.. with the basic wpf/c# steps.. so should start with another book? - I've been looking at the MTA course, but there ain't any exams available in Denmark..

So what would you guys recommend?

    maybe some WPF/Winform/ASP.net

    I'm open for suggestions!

dont need a book, just look up tutorials on the various controls

    then lookup and learn MVVM.

    not much else required really

oh wcf may be a good idea also there is a really really good video on it somewhere i think dotnetrocks had one

It is really easy for that. You can get many useful guide pages or videos by searching components or controls. Good luck for you!

http://www.w3schools.com/ is good for very basic introductions to web services etc (including WCF), but it is very basic.

Youtube is a good resource for a lot of .net stuff. Also www.stackoverflow.com is superb for solutions for specific problems.

How did your journey into C# go?

The landscape with WPF has shifted also. It is now more relevant as it is part of the OS, instead on sitting on top of .NET; and less relative as software drifts to HTML 5 for everything.
