Windows Call of Duty MW3 vs Battlefield 3

Once MW3 goes down to pittance prices, I'll get it for the Singleplayer, MW2 and BLOPS have left a sour taste in my mouth with regard to the Multi, but MW1 was solid as hell.

Still, Battlefield 3 is where my main interest lies, but doubt that either one will get GOTY.

 

MW1 were brilliant for me. MW2 was okay, if only it didn't have the blasted p2p system. (to their credit, it works, works better than AC BH i must be honest, but not as well as Dirt 2/3)

Blops was horrible. there is simply no way to put it.

with MW3 being created by a re-organised InfintyWard, i have high doubts they will capture early CoD magic. to me, CoD series has gone same way as MoH game: drain.

Why are people comparing Battlefield 3 to MechWarrior 3? That makes no sense.

 

MW3 - Kids game. Will sell gazillions.

BF3 - Young adults. Will sell millions.

Arma 3 - Grown ups game, will sell several, hopefully.

 

(insert generic comment about how BF3 will destroy MW3 in terms of goodness but MW3 will out sell it anyways because console players are retarded)

this is promising news on MW3: going back to CoD4 feel.

the whole MW series is basically a modern-weapon modded Quake or UT twitchy shooter. Battlefield is a game in itself, an arcade version military shooter.

 

Well as I said in my last post I will be buying both so your wrong. Whenever anything about these games appear on the forums you are first here to whine about everyone liking battlefield. You just have your head so far up COD's arse that you cant see anything else! Just give it a break.

 

I hear Origin will win best digital distribution.

they even said they were "working on on" getting dedis in the game along with p2p but i'll believe it when i see it to be honest.

At least BF is making them sweat and scurry to raise standards.

I'll decide what to get, if i get anything, when all the dust settles between the fanboys, EA goading Activision and all this general hype.

 

Yeah but BF3 isn't the thrid generation either, even if you don't count the Bad Company games.

I call BS on MW3 getting back to the "gun-on-gun" action of CoD4. I doubt it will be anything like it.
