I'm currently got a project going where I'm combining two separate, different cases. I'm now at the point where I should start thinking about materials to make the sides and front.

I was thinking acrylic or aluminium. There's not going to be any intricate etchings or anything. At most there will be some paint work.

Oh and budget is none existent so don't go saying carbon fibre :nono::hehe:

    What would you guys suggest?

    Cheers

    Really what ever you like.

What look are you after, what material are you comfortable using, how will you attach,?

Wood, metal, plexi, custom molded or combination, would all work.

Because it's only my first proper mod, I was just going to attach most of it with nuts and bolts. (Easy for my simple brain to work out :hehe:)

I'm after a sleek, elegant understated look.

May look at plexi. Cheers craig - toyoracer :) +rep

If you want a "minimalistic" look, I suppose you could go with brushed alu? Here is a cheap panel, might be a bit thin tho. Just dremel the **** out of it.
