I'm after a cheap PC laptop, hopefully around £500, secondhand is ok

    Smaller the better
    1Ghz+
    1Gb ram (upgradeable to)
Preferably a dedicated graphics chip (nvidia)
    Good battery life, 2+hours
    1280x768+ screen

And most of all be linux friendly, i have no intention of running windows on it :)

I'm thinking £500 is a wee bit tight, but one can hope :D

If it wasn't for me need it to be a X86 PC i'd buy a second hand iBook (fits everything except the screen res), but then again, i already have a powerbook, so i probably wouldn't

I would say look on ebay. for five hundred you might also be able to get them from stores that are clearing them.
    hope that helps.
