    Like it?

I stole the case from my brother's crappy old Compaq SR1520NX. Used a lot of painters tape to create a grid, then used an exacto-knife to carefully cut out squares to form this checkered pattern.

I then proceeded to spray indiscriminantly over the patterned painters tape. This was the result. To finish it off, I used painters tape again to section off a part of the gray front-panel frame and used some leftover black spraypaint I had in my garage.

Other minor modification: I drilled new holes for thumb screws as the original one is complete crap.

I have more photos if you want.

Thanks! Yeah there are so many just laying around in this house and they're MicroATX, so they're still perfectly usable, so I figured, why not have some fun!

They keep hardware suprisingly cool as well. It keeps the hardware in my sig cool with a single 92mm exhaust fan

This is very true. Single 80mm fan here. What are you planning to do mod-wise?

Window, entirely new drive rack 90 degrees to what it is currently(to suit 2.5" drives), entirely new faceplate w/out holes in clear+smoked acrylic, full paintjob, sleeving, mobo and gpu covers, and maybe a secret or 3 ideas I have planned :)

Awesome. My grandparents have one of these too. The check pattern is really cool but hurts my eyes :)
