Hey folks so I have had Company of Heroes : Opposing Fronts for a while now, over a year now in fact, but I have never managed to get to play online due to problems with Relic Online.

I have opened and forwarded the following ports in my router that I found listed across the net for this game...

    UDP 30275 - 30275 30275 - 30275
    TCP 30360 - 30360 30360 - 30360
    UDP 30360 - 30360 30360 - 30360
    TCP 30275 - 30275 30275 - 30275
    TCP 9112 - 9112 9112 - 9112
    TCP 6112 - 6112 6112 - 6112
    TCP 6667 - 6667 6667 - 6667
    UDP 6667 - 6667 6667 - 6667

fyi.. my pc connects to the router which connects to the net.

Yet still unable to get friends join my game or unable to join theirs.

Have any of you managed to get this working flawlessly? If so how?
My friends and I are somewhat craving a game now, something which never used to prove a problem before as would simply LAN it up before they moved house :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Delph.

hate to state the obvious but have all of you got the correct version running. If i recall there was a lengthy install for patches as you had to install 3 or 4 of them. Other than that, no idea.

Yup, all running same version, checked numbers, also all clients have been updated automatically via the relic online service.

So I am starting to find, however someone surely has this working behind a router?

The relic online forums and help are distinctly lacking with one solution being to connect to the net directly without any use of firewalls etc.... ermmmm yer thats not really a solution but rather asking for trouble! :sigh:

It's not to do with the fact your behind a router but which router you're behind, for some reason it doesn't like certain ones, even if all the ports are open. I have the same problem, one router it works fine, another it won't.

Hmm interesting, got some other routers tho none that are adsl2+ compatible.

I am using a THOMSON TG585v7 router supplied by the ISP at present.

Id like to hear from anyone else whom has an ADSL2+ router and has got CoH:OF working, any recommendations for an adsl2+ router that works would be awesome :thumb:

    Thanks

Hey just thought id update this with a solution I found to work ~kinda.

After many more hours trying to get CoH:OF to work over relic online to no avail i started looking down the route of using hamachi vpn again as I do for some of my other older games.

However there is quite a process in order to get this to even work over hamachi as it wont just work unlike many other games.

So below is the exact process in which to play CoH:OF over hamachi vpn.

    Recommended versions...
    Hamachi version 1.0.1.5
    CoH:OF version 2.301.0

    1.) login to hamachi vpn.
2.) goto manage network connections in windows and disable all network connections in the list except for hamachi. You will even need to disable the normal connection used for internet.
    3.) load CoH:OF.
4.) game will load and ask for dvd to validate as it cant validate online.
5.) host a multiplayer game and select a map.
6.) alt-tab back to windows and enable all the network connections.
7.) wait for hamachi to automaticly log back in, once done, alt-tab back to the game.
8.) players join the hosted game.
    9.) have fun.

Note:- This only needs to be done by the person hosting the game.

Feels so good to be able to play this epic game once more :D
