Can anyone tell me which console game controllers can be interfaced with a pc? And if they can be connected to the pc could you point me to a schematic? Thanks! So far all i have found is the xbox and nes controllers.
you can get usb -> playstation converters too (check ebay). i think most controllers can be connected to a pc, but they tend to need special software and the parallel port. useful? usefuller? RoB
Xbox controllers are usb, so all you have to do is chop off the end of one, and put on a normal usb male A connector, and viola, an xbox controller on a pc all you need is the drivers, but a quick google could solve that
Modded XBox pad and psxpad xbox driver software work like a dream for me. Theres a few homebrew xbox pad drivers around that are worth a look. PS2 pad converters have been nothing but a nightmare for me. Software is usually out of date. Bought a converter from Play.com a while back, but same probs with that as with all others ive tried - compatibility with certain games, axis probs, etc. And the software is never configurable. So try and XBox pad for ya best bet. If anyone knows of good configurable software for PS2 to USB convertors (not for parallel connections, like psxpad) id be willing to give it a try again.
