Not sure you could say the Lian Li V1000(or V2000) is either dull or aimed at the teen gamer market. Personally i think the V1000 in silver is the coolest looking stock case I've seen. Although I'm biased :p

I agree with you. the original satckers almost looked like lian li cases in style with some small modifications, but the new series are full of plastic SH** :grr:

this may not exactly be the right place, but it would be interesting to see what would result if the enthusiast community at large wrote a specification for a full-ATX case.

by specification, I mean a list of whats needed/wanted in the design.

Did not like the blude carbon fibre or celtic designs (two over used patterns IMO).

The 832 does look interesting though, I certainly prefer the new front and I've been wanting the 830 for a while.

I have the Blue LE Cooler Master Wave Master case, I love it. I think I found my next case, that blue carbon fiber looks fantastic. I like the case because it's different from the norm. Damn, I hope I can get my hands on one of those blue cases.

Wait, is this thing going to cost a $1000?! If so, I pass on that.

I just about pooped myself when i saw that, it looks great, but no where near worth a $1,000, you could buy a great new computer for that

Yeah, that's what I think too. I mean, if I wanted a great paint job, I can probably find a friend of a friend that is handy with an airbrush that will do that for half the price and maybe even less. And I would get exactly what I wanted.

Flames are ok but I would rather have more of a thunderbolt kinda thing.

Edit: I bet for $250 you could get a nice airbrush and a good compressor and DIY, then you have a case, an airbrush and a compressor rather that a just a case

How about case designers thinking about those people with toddlers! I have a wavemaster case which is great! Well was great until my youngest went "poke" on the the only visible button - The power button!

Paint job aside I liked the case styling/ideas. However a power button on the top! :wallbash: That's like a magnet to a 2yr old! :D

Please Mr Case Designer - hide the buttons :) Think of us poor dads (and mums) that like to use a PC whilst we look after our young'uns!

I think the perfect case for me would be a stacker body with the TJ09 gfx cooling vents and the Mystique 632 doors :)

Which is why I have a TT Xaser III, Power and reset buttons behind a lockable door to keep little fingers out (and potching yonger siblings).

Although, I do feel the need to change my case. I've been thinking of getting the TT Armour case (I know most hate the look of it, but I think there's something about it), but I could be tempted with the stacker. with that power button it's crying out for a Transformers etch somewhere.

soon as I can find the time and the cost for the mytique and the TJ09 I might have a go at that.

It really does seem like it might be the ultime fusion of cases, anyone else have anything to throw into the mix?

Ewwwwww. Where to start... Ok first of all I dislike the design of the Stackers (especially the 380), and even more I hate the looks of some "tuning"-carbon fibre! FFS CF is grey/black, not yellow, not red, not blue :) I don't want to even start with the crosses'n'stuff. Just horrid.

The stealth black looks better though. I still hate the case itself, but the paintjob is something rather new. Atleast dust wouldn't be as visible as on gloss black cases?

Carbon fibre is indeed grey/black... carbon coloured, funnily enough. You CAN tint the resin though, with quite nice results even. Not to this extent, of course. I quite like the pattern, but it's somewhat garish over such an expanse.

Also, I don't think the juxtaposition of a modern background as a base for the knotwork is a good idea. The Celtic design really doesn't work IMAO - it just looks like some stickers. The fun with Celtic designs is that they're so fluid, they can be designed to fit any form. In fact, even the two designs used don't match aesthetically - a dense cross design on the side, and a pretty open bit of knotwork on the front.

It's a shame to see a "custom" paint job that really doesn't take the case it's applied to into account. It's like the difference between a good custom tattoo, and some bit of flash picked out of a book...

The bare hardware's quite nice, though ;)
