    Don't know if this gets to anybody else, but when people have crazy flashing avatars, it becomes a real annoyance to read the threads/posts and drives me crazy over time.

    Hope this isn't a nonsical post, and other people find this annoying aswell, could we get the people to stop it (cough penski)...

    I hope this was the best place to post

    it annoys me too, but you know that hitting esc stops the animated gifs, right?

    yer that escape thing does work, but then you have to press escape on each page?

    Well if you're using FF, just adblock them :D If vB is anything like phpBB, the only way to block ani gif's would be with size, and that's no guarantee either. They don't bother me much, but my screen is big enough that I don't notice avatars that much.

    if they bug you... just use adblock in firefox to block them out (this also works well for users that have retarded avatars that are just annoying period).

    normally it doesnt bother me. the only time it would bother me is if its really fast flashing with highly contrasting colors (mostly black and white)

    I like funky moving avatars, bindibadgi's for example. But big flashy irritating ones suck big time. My opinion, erm.. depends.

    not fond of penski's for example, but others like bindi's is okay.
    the webdeveloper toolbar/extension for FF has a specific 'stop animated gifs' option.
