For that, are you planning something like... I dunno, a sensor pad in the drivers seat that initiates boot up when it's pressed down?

Actually, come to think of it, that'd provide many more problems than it would solve. >_<

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but the doodad idea with the line being broken and a 'Back Off!' appearing.. well, you'd have to be actively measuring how fast you're going and how far the 'line' is away. Could get embarrasing when you're stuck in traffic or stop at a t-junction and 'Back Off!' appears actually inside the car behind. Cool idea though :)

I think it's illegal in most states for headlights not to be white. Not to mention red light doesn't do crap for lighting a road.
But a few ultrabright whites couldn't go too wrong. I personally wanna make an LED lightbulb as that would put out a rediculous amount more light than what I have in my house, albeit at the cost of ~40 superbright LEDs (probably around thirty bucks, which would be a bit pricy for a lightbulb even if it did last forever)

Ya, it would have to be linked to the cars speed.
So the faster you travel, the further the line moved.

Hey zap! Are you still thinking about the steering wheel cover? I see potential here. If the unit were compact and easy to install, I think just about everyone in the state would buy one (I know I would!)... What about using pelts? That way you could switch whether you want it hot/cold... combine with small tubing and a small inline pump... ACH! I have an idea! I'll draw it up at school and see if I can't put it into 3D at home... Might be too complex, but I bet a ghett-err, I mean prototype can be made!

    Well not seriously yet.
Pelts are probably the only way to get a fast cool-down.
That or linking into the car's AC :D
But the cover would look like those old-style leather/wire wrap ones.

Is there a heatpipe alternative? Like heatpipe but with a cheap chemical that conducts heat almost as well? Something that might be sold in stores?
