News Ctrl-Alt-Del inventor makes final reboot

    I was expecting an Obit. when I read the headline, but there's no need for the Last Post - he's only retiring. From el Reg:

    David Bradley, one of the 'dirty dozen' engineers who created the original IBM PC at Boca Raton, Florida, is to retire this week after 29 years with the company.

    Bradley's accomplishments are numerous - he wrote the BIOS code for the original PC and rose to become architecture manager at the PC group. But David's claim to fame is that he devised the most famous - and probably most used - three key combination in computer history: Ctrl-Alt-Del.

    What you talking about foo'? Ctrl-Alt-Del still works on nearly every OS and especially in DOS: he could have meant he'll reboot from pre-OS with the three fingered salute next time he switches on the computer. :eyebrow:

    i think he ment the fact tht windows 98 fubars it self randomy every 5-10mins and therefore needs ctrl alt delete constantly. :worried:
