Ooooh, aaaah! This is by far the best looking koolance mod made to date... Go for the black tint since it is blends in well.
holy .... it's looking sooooo great!!! gonna be another masterpiece I think silver would be very sweet since it would make more contrast and get even more attraction I think I smell another article out here looks awesome! can't wait to see it completed!
Uniformity (sp?) would require the window be black. I assume it will have some sort of light to show out of it? If so then black definitely. If no light, then you can get away with the chrome.
that is possibly the best mod I have ever seen, and its not even finished! Its easily the best of yours, macroman. I loved macroblack, but it was on the tacky side, where as your Lian-Li looked very slick butwasn't modded enough! This combines the two, extreme, and slick! I was going to do something like that w/ my chieftec, but I wasnt going to use copper, and I didnt have the front grill idea. I was going to put in two acrylic tubes where your two coppers are, and put cathodes in em But I might try the copper now! Was it hard mod? It doesnt look too hard....
Excellent work! I can see a lot of possibilities with that...clear tubing with liquid, lights, etc... I'm working on a similar mod with aluminum sheets insted of copper..love your work so far!! DDK
Beautiful, beautiful. It has the look of a pipe organ with those copper pipes on the front. Keep the good stuff coming!
Nice call it the furnace Did you rub down the front panel before applying the vinyl spray? Im thinking of spraying some cd drives GJ and GL
what would it cool? Watercooling is not at all effective for system temps, and so the only thing it would be able to cool is the front of the CD drive.....
I just have to say wow! looks absolutely amazing & is top quality as usual You've given me a few ideas for my dragon now - implementing them will be the hard part
*yawn* come on macro, whatever people say, sometimes too much of a good thing is NOT a bad thing, so more updated pics
Macroman you are the modding god, I just hope that I can one day mod something near as good as you. mod on
I have done a bit more to this project this weekend and started by painting the case base black. The metal part was primed and sprayed satin black and the plastic feet were painted with black vinyl dye. I never bothered to remove the base, just masked it off and sprayed. Whilst the paint dried, I removed the built in fan grill from the case front with snips and tidied it up with a file. The grill removed waiting to be filed neat. A quick test fit to see how the case was looking. I settled on the black tint for the window behind the tubing. I also fitted 5 3mm leds into the square cut out on the front were the door lock used to locate. This will become a lit case badge.
