Only a short post, nothing to worry about.

Can anyone tell me why DAEMON Tools wont work with my operating system? I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and I downloaded a version which should work, according to this sentence on the download page:
When I try to mount a drive, it comes up with the error
So, anyone know where I've gone wrong?

Try emailing the Daemon tools people, their help pages are pretty good too. :)

Nope, it's the only one I've got.

If you're on the same OS as me, could you try downloading the one from the link I showed and see if it works? That is if you aren't already running that one.

I'll try the help pages in the meantime.

I'm running the version you linked in your first post of Vista 64 with no problems at all, tried re-installing it?

If you can't use it, try Virtual Clone Drive - I can confirm this works with x64, and doesn't seem to throw any problems up

Make sure that the installer ran with admin priviledges. Also the same after the reboot.

    Oddly enough it's fixed now.

But in case anyone googled the error message I posted with initially (comes up with this thread as one of the first results) I'll show you how I fixed it.

    1) Reboot your computer
    2) Press F8 while it's starting up to bring up the boot options (with safe mode etc.).
    2) Scroll down to "disable driver signature enforcement" and press enter.

If that doesn't work, send an e-mail to the people at DAEMON Tools who, as mentioned earlier, are very helpful.

i have the same problem. It worked fine and mounted stuff fine after I installed it. But now I get the "DAEMON Tools Pro driver error: -1". I have windows XP. I can't locate the "disable driver signature enforcement" in my boot options (possibly because I have XP not Vista). Can anyone help?

Wait, you can override the check for signed drivers in Vista 64? WTF?

Running version 4.09HE SPTD 1.43 here on my Vista 64bit SP1, works 100% fine :blah:

I dont recall having to diable any driver signiture check, then again it may be possible ive disabled it for previous hardware drivers :S
