Just got my new GF4 block in the post this morning. Just like to say that it's quality - better than any previous DD stuff I've had. Top's also nice and thick so it shouldn't have any Maze 3 type problems

I'll try and post temps when I've got it plumbed in - tho I'll probly be too busy clocking :D

edit: Oh and its got a strange crystally looking coating on the waterchannel surface. Don't know whether this is to stop tarnishing of the copper or is some secret heat transfer enhancing stuff.... hmmmm

Not sure if you can tell but is it the same material as the "old" DD maze3 blocks, just thicker? I'd be nice if they switched to poly or lexan for those tops, not just thicker acrylic.

Soz guys - pics are out as I've not got a digicam... I'll see about borrowing one for ya tho'- I have a cunning plan to steal one off someone I know for a day :hehe:

ScopE - not sure about what material the top's made of - feels very much like acrylic tho - lexan feels kinda greasy. Could be wrong :worried:. I'll certainly be posting if it wrecks my new rig :grr: :D

B1g-d0g m8 - I certainly let you know how I plumb it - install piccys and everything assuming I can get the digicam borrowed ok :) I'm gonna run it with T-pieces like I suggested on your thread. Pics'll explain anyways when its all sorted.

Tried to ascii it for ya but it went ****ed up! :hehe:

Yup - it winged its way all the way from Oregon -

cost $24USD shipping - A bit steep but I couldn't wait the month or more that Tek told me they'd be getting them in  plus the exchange rate is really good ATM

I also looked at the OCPC block but the DD one has 1) been finished 2) got mounting holes a la GF3 as well so could prove more versetile (so I can use my old Ti500 when I blow up my Ti4400 o/cing it! :D :D )

B1g-d0g - yeh - postage was USPS (me is cheapsk8 :hehe: ) but arrived within three days of the notice of shipping - depite them saying 5-10days - just luck I guess... tis a shame about the maze 3 but the OCPC block is better - thick Lexan AND LED ( I do feel spoiled with this block :hehe: )

Yup - I'm a member of CH so I saw it tonight.... Looks really sweet - just a shame that I needed mine sooner than it's available :sigh:

I've got a Neptune w/b tho and that is the dog's ******** ! Jess' stuff always seems to be the best out there - probly 'cos he's actually thinking about his products when he designs them :D

I hear he's going to expand the GF4 range to include a chipset block an all - sommet I'd be interested in in the future :)

Oh, you are the Iggy2K from CH I presume? ;)

:worried: errrr..... *in case customs are looking* Yeah yeah I paid £4million in taxes :worried: :hehe:

Actually, despite USPS delivery I was charged not a penny in VAT or Import duty - might have been lucky but maybe... the secret - *puts lawyer's hat on*

Tell DD to ship your chosen stuff as a gift, in the special instructions box. Under international duty laws no tax is paid on gifts, which is one reason why DD have a gift message box and a special instructions box on their site :)

So if you want to order some thing from DD ask to have GIFT printed on the customs label and write something like Happy birthday <name> or 'congratualtions on the birth of your new babeh (your rig obviously :D )'

Next time you order try it out - I got it checked by a mate of mine who does international law and he said it should work :)
