Interesting wonder if they will hit retail channels or stay OEM. But if the card are gtx 512 the i wonder what the price is for just the video subsystem i am thinking about $2200-$2800 then tac on the rest of the part you got a very expesive rig i think the range of $6000-$7000. But you don't think about the price then the ideo is great may they could implement this with some midrange card to get a great system a less of the cost.

I actually thought wow i would love that rig for a minute and said hey its a dell wait i still would love it hey wait it has a intel cpu that is on fire yet again i would still love it. But like lone says it will probally start out at like atleast 5k depending on the deals they cut with people. The thing must have a hell of a cooling system. I mean oc'ed intel proc (inferno) tehn 4 gtx's come on its a fireball. I guess they painted it with flames to show you whats gonna happen if you leave it on to long hmmmm. JUst think what the thing could do though with a fx-60 oc'ed to 3.5 (or something) it would be able to play games on max for years to come.

Who cares about the cards, look at that beautiful case. Me love. Question about the cards though. Card 1 connects to Card 2. Card 3 connects to card Card 4. Where does Card 2 and Card 3 connect? Or do they not? :S

    :jawdrop: x a whole lot

That's freaking insane, but it just makes me laugh a bit. It reminds me of the doomed Voodoo 5 6000. Quad GPUs, a brand new "4xAA" mode using rotated grid. Oh man, and it was fast! Honestly I can't see this ever taking off. Then again, I never saw SLI going very far.

Wooooow. I'm sure their 50TW PSU and 1500mm cooling fans will take care of all that.

I seriously doubt that even that setup could drive the 30" LCDs at native with 32xSLIAA though. It sure as heck is a reason to get more games threaded and pump out some quad-core procs though.

I'd love that case though. Not often something I'd say about a dell case. It wouldn't replace FF, but the thing would have to win my "badass case design of the year award". Of course, as we're not even a week into the year, that should be taken with a grain of salt.

Ooh... a 600+ watt space heater. Just what I always wanted. I must wonder, though, are the flames on the case painted on, or is the case clear, so you can see what's happening inside?

OK, seriously now, I'm rather tired of big OEMs getting hardware that is most likely never going to be released to the enthusiast community. While OEMs are a big market for nVidia, all this catering really gets annoying.

It is just me or how would the quad work when SLI works when the top 2/3 of the screen is done by one card and the other 1/3 is done by the other card? Is it again split up again for each part? I can't see it being that much faster... but would love to see it being Benchmarked.

stop saying that it sucks cause it's a dell.

This dell probably kicks the **** out of most of your systems....

remeber Brand doesn't matter as long as you got what it takes.... and this machine is smoking.

To be honest, I never owned a dell and never will. But all you fan boys of custom rigs shouldn't say it sucks just because it's a dell [becuase the actual hardware is not bad...even if not AMD's FX-60, the 955 is still not bad].... that's totally biased and only shows how ignorant you are.
    /End rant

I drool for the machine... but should be watercooled and have a window... cuase what's the use of the flames when you can't see your hardware smoking!!!! :)

That quad SLI really needs to be appreciated with a window.... drool

Of course not. The fact that it's a Dell doesn't degrade its hardware. I wouldn't mind having quad SLI myself.

But with that system, I'd probably do a lot of work to the machine before actually using it.

IIRC, thats one way SLI can work.
Another is frame for frame...I think.

From what I understand... NVIDIA has developed a new chip that acts as a PCI-Express bus splitter - this turns a single PCI-Express x16 lane into one full PCI-Express x16 connection for each GPU. The ASIC then merges the data back into a single PCI-Express x16 connection when the data heads back to the chipset (across the PCI-Express interface).

Also, the two GPUs are connected together in SLI mode (like on the ASUS EN7800 GT Duo), so it's possible to run one of these cards as 'SLI on one card', or you can bump two together for Quad SLI.

Indeed. Presumably it would alternate every fourth frame or load balance the screen either into quadrants or four vertical sections.

Think though... when SLI mode is unticked, 8 monitors :) Octet of 24" widescreens, perhaps? Yeah, that'd come cheap. I can't even imagine a wall of screens that big.
